LAMarrs Camp Gear

ACADEMIC|March 2023-May 2024

LAMarrs Camp Gear enhances the outdoor experience by strengthening a deeper connection to nature, especially for a younger, eco-conscious audience. The goal is a design system that blends functionality, sustainability, and style. I was responsible for the direction, design, and concept of this project while taking in feedback from peers and industry professionals. This 24-week capstone project delivers a lighter, mugs, a tent instruction guide, sleeping bag designs, a camp chair, and a prototyped website. LAMarrs Camp Gear supports the future of camping by making it more appealing and sustainable for future generations.

Camping is supposed to be fun and relaxing, and that should apply to the way we approach setting up our campsite. I designed a tent instruction guide that reflects casual language and clear steps for tent construction. The goal is not to intimidate novice campers with clinical and confusing jargon. Avoiding these pain points allows for a more seamless and enjoyable experience that keeps our audience motivated to camp more often.
